It’s Christmas-time! The Christmas tree is decorated, lights are up, and the fireplace is lit. The fireplace might be a bit overkill since it is 63 degrees, but hey – I’m an adult and I do what I want. The one thing left to do is buy gifts. If you are like me and still thinking of the perfect gift, here are some awesome products at all price points. And of course, these are all handmade, natural and/or organic!

I came across this bracelet on the Rodale’s website (a favorite for eco and handmade products), and thought it was adorable. The designer is Laurel Denise, and if you have time I recommend visiting her website as she has some truly beautiful, inspiring jewelry. I love the thin design of the leather bracelet, and the small cursive engraved message. I like that it is delicate and doesn’t look bulky on my thin wrists as many bracelets can. To note, the message is quite small in size. It’s not something people will notice, it’s more of a small message to act as a daily reminder to bring inspiration and happiness into your life.
John Masters Organics is a staple in the organic beauty world. They have great hair and body care and just came out with perfume oils in 3 scents: Sultry Spice, Fresh Floral, and Sparkling Citrus. And best of all – they’re organic!
Sultry Spice is a combination of warm vanilla, spice and neroli. Neroli brings a brightness that helps balance the vanilla and spice. It’s a really enjoyable, warm fragrance that is perfect for winter. Fresh Floral is a fresh and bright scent that is great for any floral lover. Clary sage, rose and geranium keep this scent crisp, while vanilla and ylang ylang keep it slightly sweet and grounded so it doesn’t come across as bitter. This is like spring in a fragrance. Sparkling Citrus is a sweet orange scent with a hint of floral. It’s almost like a mix of Sultry Spice with Fresh Floral and splash of orange.
For your eco-friendly friend, this gift set of Dr. Bronner’s castile soaps would be a fun gift or stocking stuffer. I love Dr. Bronner’s soaps. The scents are fresh and strong, and because the soaps are so concentrated, even the small bottles last a long time. You could even make a fun cheat sheet to go with the soaps on how the soaps can be used and diluted (although I have to recommend not using it for a toothpaste – it will not taste pleasant).
I recently took a trip to Maui and was in awe of the beautiful island. Everywhere I looked I either saw ocean, volcanos, tress, or all of the above. It’s breathtaking. Queen Bee Maui is native to Maui. I tried their Calming Herbal Bath Soak and oh, it’s divine. Queen Bee prides itself on being low impact, and it shows in their packaging. Simple, but including all that is needed. A card provides info on the product with a twine bow attaching to the bag. It has a homemade feel that I really like. Calming includes chamomile, frankincense and vanilla. The frankincense provides a spicy boldness which is balanced with the smoothing chamomile and sweet vanilla. Because epsom salts are used, this will soothe your muscles while you soak.

When you don’t quite know what to get someone, a quality candle always makes a nice gift. Everyone loves candles! Elemental Herbology recently came out with an Earth Candle that is perfect for winter. The cedarwood brings a soft woods smell, without being too cedar-y. The official description lists several citrus scents as the top notes, but I only smell bergamot which is one of my favorite scents and really balances the woods. A whiff of ginger brings a spicy freshness while frankincense grounds the candle. It has a slight masculine smell, probably due to the frankincense and cedarwood, but does not smell like cologne. My boyfriend even commented how much he liked the smell. The throw will not fill up your whole house, but is great at filling up a room with a soft, warm, earthy scent.
Detox Market recently had a gift set with purchase, so I decided to stock up on some favorites – I just can’t resist a gift with purchase. In the gift set was the MV Organic Skincare Signature Mineral Mask. I’ll be honest in that I let it sit under my sink for quite some time. I haven’t had a lot of luck with clay/mineral masks in the past, they left my skin feeling dry and tight. Well now I realize I was using the wrong clay! This mask uses french white clay, which is known for its soothing quality. After rinsing off, my skin felt soft, my clogged pores were smoothed and I was glowing – I’m sold!
To step up this gift, I would recommend buying this set that also comes with the bowl and brush. In the gift with purchase, I received the bowl and brush and it really adds to the elegance of the mask. The bowl makes the mask easy to mix and applying the mask with a brush is soothing and spa-like.

Oh Osmia Organics, I swear you can do no wrong. Everything I try of theirs – I love. I received a bottle of the Body Oil in Sunset in the same gift with purchase set as the mask above and my immediate thought was – how did I not discover this sooner? My favorite perfume of theirs is Bria, a mixture of sandalwood and jasmine. This is like Bria, with warm vanilla added. It’s warm, it’s sweet, it’s floral, it’s earthy – in short, it’s wonderful. I can’t imagine anyone who wouldn’t like this scent.
The body oil is very moisturizing without being greasy. It’s a blend of coconut oil, jojoba oil, kukui oil, sweet almond oil, rosehips seed oil, hemp seed oil, avocado oil, and borage oil. Quite the variety! The latter oils are very moisturizing but can be a bit greasy. Having the base be a mix of coconut and jojoba keeps this light so it sinks in quickly. I love to apply right after the shower or bath, while my skin is still damp.
For the makeup lover, Living Nature came out with holiday sets of 3 lipsticks. I tried Vibrant, a set of a berry, a red, and a nude. The lipsticks have a waxy feel, which is nice in Christmas as it coats my lips and keeps them moisturized. The staying power is quite good too, they last a few hours on my lips – even after drinking a cup of tea. The best part? They are made with organic oils and waxes!
Pure Passion looks very dark in the tube, but is more sheer when applied. It’s a beautiful warm berry lipstick that is perfect for the holidays. Wild Fire is a soft red that reminds me a lot of ILIA Bang Bang, but is slightly warmer. Pure Passion and Wild Fire are both incredibly beautiful reds. Also included in the set is Coral Sea, a nudish peach. One swipe provides a swipe of sheer nude, but is buildable to a terra cotta nude.

For the truly luxurious gift for that special someone, I look to True Botanicals. They always have the most wonderful products just for Christmas. Last year it was bath salts and this year they released limited edition Body Balms. I have the Frankincense + Sandalwood scent and I am in love. The official description is “When deep, soft, woodsy Sandalwood comes together with Frankincense, it creates an elegant, complex scent that’s still fresh.” They nailed it. Sandalwood is one of my most favorite scents, and combined with Frankincense this is a both earthy, woodsy and yet fresh. There is also rose and neroli which bring a hint of brightness, without being too floral – the Sandalwood and Frankincense still shine.
The balm itself is exactly what I would want in a balm. It is very rich and moisturizing, but the texture is surprisingly thin. This would make a great balm to put on hands, elbows or any other dry areas. It’s greasy at first (as all good balms should be), but sinks in surprisingly well after about 20 minutes or so. After it sinks in, my skin is left moisturized without being greasy or oily at all. This is great to apply before bed, it will moisturize your skin and calm your senses while you sleep.
That’s it for my gift ideas! Have you tried any of these products before?
