What is it about palettes that are so addicting? I don’t care how many eye shadows or lippies I have, if there is a palette – I want it! Jane Iredale’s latest holiday palette is no exception. The Glamour Eye & Lip Palette is beautiful – inside and out. I love the rose gold case and the colors inside are a great blend of shimmery and matte, neutral and colorful.
AND, for the perfect pair, they released the Snappy Brush Wand which has three eye brushes in one magnetic wand. Aaaaaaand, I have a video to show off both!
The palette contains:
PurePressed Eye Shadow:
Top: Oyster, Wink, Hush, Rose Gold, Dreamy Pink.
Middle: Platinum, Cappuccino, Supernova, Merlot, Double Espresso
Bottom: Magic, Caribbean, Violet Eyes, Blue Hour, Red Carpet
Neutrals: Sarah, Kaylee
Pinks and Corals: Liz, Lucy, Madison, Abigail, Rikki
Reds and Mauves: Naomi, Margi, Theresa
PureGloss Lip Gloss
Shimmering: Snow Berry, Beach Plum, Pink Candy
Sheer: Bellini, Crabapple
Here’s some more pictures to show it off a bit more. I had to shoot at an angle because the palette is super reflective.
And the swatches! First the eyes (colors shown match the order in the case). Hush (top middle) is a bit hard to see since it matches my skin tone.
And the lippies! Sorry some of the clear lip glosses didn’t really show, I tried to show them at an angle so you can see how they shimmer.
As I mentioned above, the case is a pretty rose gold color. It folds open to the lippies and then folds open again for the eye shadows and a mirror. It also comes with a little lip brush. Its small enough to fit in a larger purse, so is great for taking with you or for me – keeping at work for makeup touch-ups.
I think my only wish for this palette would be to have larger sizes for the color pans. The diameter of the color pans isn’t very big, but I did actually dig into one to see how deep they are and are surprisingly deep. So you do get a good bit of product, but of course I always wish for more ;o)
The Snappy Brush Wand has three brushes: eyeliner, crease and smudge. I’m impressed with the quality of the brushes. They are practically full size, the crease even matches some of my full size brushes. They are all nice and stiff but very soft. It’s such a great idea too to have them hold together magnetically – why don’t more companies do this?!?
But the best way to see these is in video – so here’s a video where I show off the palette, snappy brush wand and create a smokey eye using the brushes and palette.
Both the Glamour Palette and Snappy Brush Wand are only available for the holiday seasons, so if you are interested – you may want to grab them before they are gone!
